DS3000

DS3000 is Ferodo's premium racing compound and has set the standard across circuit racing and the World Rally Championship. DS3000 has contributed to countless wins and podium positions in the WRC, BTCC, STW and is now experiencing major success in Indycar and NASCAR applications.

The main characteristics of the DS3000 compound are:

DS3000 has been subjected to the most rigorous development procedures possible. At Federal-Mogul Technology, our world renowned dedicated research laboratories, many scientists and engineers have played a part in bringing you DS3000 brake pads. To meet the exacting demands of motor sport, hundreds of friction formulations have been developed and rejected. Only one , DS3000, has met with total approval, surviving arduous laboratory tests and extensive dynamometer programmes which simulate every conceivable performance requirement.

Of course any amount of research testing cannot substitute 'live' circuit and field trials. DS3000 has been subjected to our own exacting test track procedures and then forwarded for approval by brake system and vehicle manufacturers and, most importantly competitors.

We've worked closely with many of the world's leading drivers and analysed their evaluation reports. From their expert feedback we continued to develop and refine DS 3000 until it met their demanding requirements and guaranteed to provide winning performance in every extreme.

DS3000 provides outstanding braking performance under all conditions. Unlike many materials, the performance characteristics of DS3000 provide predictable braking and pedal feel. From low speeds to high speeds, from a cold start to a scorching 750° C, DS3000 maintains a constant high co-efficient of friction (0.6) which guarantees exceptional fade resistance and consistent bite.

This is critical. Every driver must be confident that whatever the speed or operating temperature, he will stop quickly and consistently every time the brakes are applied, and confident that braking performance is directly related to pedal pressure, without fade and without exception.

DS2000

The DS2000 compound is primarily designed for HIGH PERFORMANCE ROAD USE. However, its excellent speed and temperature sensitivity characteristics make DS2000 also suitable for RACING applications.

DS2000 is used in the rear applications of front traction RACING CARS and in particular the Super Touring Championships all over Europe. In addition it is a standard compound used in many Mono-brand Championships and Group N cars (even on the front axle).

DS2000 has a friction level of approximately 0,42 and this remains constant at any speed and at any temperature that the brake system is working at.

A minimum of 250/300 miles product life can be expected under RACING CONDITIONS, this can of course be significantly higher. For high performance road use pads can offer up to 40,000 miles of product life, dependent upon driving style and road conditions.

4003

4003 is a compound that was specifically developed for light inertia cars (i.e. Formula 3, Ford, Opal, Vauxhall, Renault, Campus......) and Rally use. 4003 is the most commonly used pad, across the world, in F3 championships. 4003 can also be used in the rear axle of front traction racing cars (off road, asphalt, track).

The main characteristics of 4003 are:

• short bedding in time
• high friction level at any speed or temperature (0,48 coefficient of friction)
• excellent initial bite
• predictability and reliability when braking into the corner
