Integrally Moulded Insulator
Ferodo patented technology

The one-piece brake pad replaces conventional shim design. The IMI™ (Integrally Moulded Insulator) is designed to spread heat over the total pad surface area for almost silent performance and extended pad life.

  • Advanced dampening material is extruded through holes in the backing plate to form a superior insulator to reduce noise and vibration.
  • An underlayer across the entire range ensures minimum heat transfer to the braking system for better and longer lasting braking performance.
  • The friction surface is post-cured for lower noise braking performance. ThermoQuiet is engineered to exceed the vehicle manufacturer’s braking performance standards.
